Giordano Juniors Youth Performing Groups

Giordano Juniors Performing Groups are youth dance groups at Giordano Dance School comprised of students aged 6 to 18.  All Juniors have required classes to attend including ballet, jazz, their group class, and a class of their choice.  These requirements are set to develop the well-rounded dancer.  In their group class, students perfect their styles as they work on dance pieces choreographed by their group director.  

After a semester of hard work, the Giordano Juniors take their show on the road and perform throughout the community.   This performance experience will help them further develop as young aspiring artists.  They will also perform their dance pieces at the end of the year Giordano Dance School Youth Show.  

Giordano Junior

Requirements are as follows:

Green: group class, jazz class, ballet class (3 total)

Purple: group class, jazz class, ballet class, tap class (4 total)

Yellow: group class, jazz, 2 ballet, 1 choice class (5 total)

Red: group class, jazz, 2 ballet, 2 choice classes (6 total)

Silver: group class, 2 jazz, 2 ballet, 1 lyrical, 2 choice class*

* additional classes highly recommended for this level

There are additional costs to be a part of the Giordano Juniors program: Uniform, Competition, Rehearsal, and Costume fees. Students parent's receive evaluations mid year to help the dancer work towards their dance goals. This feed back is an important tool to use while building dance skills.

Group leaders are members of world renown Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago company. 

Giordano Dance School is the only school where the juniors are trained by professional dancers.

Our goals for this program are to provide young dancers with a strong dance training as well as providing a fun social group in a supportive, positive environment. Regular attendance is a must for their growth and development.
